Committees and Club Management

Heyfield Bowls Club is guided by an elected Committee of Management, supported by a range of committees that help oversee specific areas of club operations. These include the Bowls Committee, Social Committee, and Selection Committee, each playing a key role in supporting the ongoing success and sustainability of the club.

Together, these committees provide leadership across strategic direction, financial oversight, governance, and member engagement. They ensure the club meets the requirements of Bowls Victoria, Bowls Australia, and the Gippsland Bowls Region, while also supporting volunteers, overseeing day to day operations, and fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all members and visitors.

While each committee member can provide guidance or answer questions relating to their area of responsibility, helping members, volunteers, and stakeholders engage effectively with the club, if you wish to have an extended conversation or provide feedback, please contact the primary contact first. They will confirm the appropriate format for the discussion to ensure it is handled efficiently and respectfully.

Selection Committee – Contact and Guidelines

If you wish to discuss selection matters with the Selection Committee, an appointment can be arranged to attend the next meeting. The Selection Guidelines provide an overview of the relevant process and expectations.

We strongly discourage casual conversations about selection in public or club spaces, as this can negatively impact morale and does not allow the Selection Committee to properly consider feedback in a safe and constructive environment. Please remember that selectors have one of the most challenging roles in the club and they are volunteers. Respect is the default position.
